Well it's Sunday at 5:30am and the Let’s Balloon Team are up and preparing for a large Asian Wedding at Leadenhall Temple.

 

450 guests, 25 table balloon bouquets, 5 floor standing balloon bouquets, top table arch, table swags and silk flower arrangements for a 9am wedding.

 

Last night I prepared all the weights, cut all the ribbons, filled all the balloons with hi-float. Hi-float is a product we use with all our helium filled balloon displays, this product extends the float time of helium balloons from 8-10 hours float time to as long as 3 days float time! We add hi-float at no extra cost as we want you and your guests to enjoy your wedding balloons beyond the event date, should you choose to take them home.

 

Coordinating ribbons have been cut to the desired length and match the wedding balloons perfectly.

 

Today's colour scheme is cerise pink and pearl white, a beautiful combination of colours.

 

Next step for me is to check my toolbox checklist; to ensure I have everything I need, plus a few extra's just in case; Scissors (at least 2-3 pairs), fishing line, tape measure, pins, double sided tape, a spare nozzle for my helium tank, hand pump, staple gun, a selection of spare balloon weights and the list goes on. I've learnt from experience to pack my balloon kit with a few extra's just in case.

 

The temple opens at 7am and we have to be finished at 8.30am, so we're running a military style operation this morning.

 

Right, it's 5.45am and I've got over 100 balloons to inflate in 60 minutes, so here goes…

 

It's now 6.30am and my business partner has started to load the van while I finish inflating the last of the balloons.

 

The floral arrangements – check.

The organza/tulle – check.

The balloon supplies – check.

The toolkit – check.

 

All that’s left to load are 100 helium filled balloons and me!!

 

So we're all in the van on the way to the Temple, a 100 minute drive from the Let's Balloon Workshop.  It's 7.05am and we've already decided who's doing what. I'll focus on arranging the bouquets while my business partner does the floral arrangements and table swaging.

 

We've covered our heads and removed our shoes as we enter the Temple, said a quick good Morning and we're off…
